Exciting news! In the 2026-2027 school term, our classes are coming to the very center of Helsinki, to the lovely Annantalo, the Arts Center for Children and Young People in Helsinki. We offer three different classes to choose from:

Art Around the World (Wednesdays, Fall and Spring Terms)
Amazing Animal Art (Fridays, Fall and Spring Terms)

Color Lab: Wild Nordic Inks This one-of-a-kind class is an introduction to the magical world of making color from nature–just for kids! We test secret recipes, try fun experiments & learn new skills from ancient traditions. All the while, we learn & practice English in a warm, friendly and confidence-building environment. Both English learners & native speakers are welcome.
We learn about the native plants that hold colorful secrets and the exciting process of making wild ink from them. We paint, print, and mark make and practice techniques like collaging, weaving and book binding. This class is kept small & cozy to ensure a personalized and specially curated experience–each child gets plenty of attention. Kids help plan our future travels by suggesting destinations they are curious about exploring. Finnish is used as necessary. From connecting with nature to discovering the mysteries of natural color, we’re going to have wild fun!
Age: 7–11 year olds
Fall Term: 18.8.-8.12.2026 Tuesdays 18:00–19:30 16 times, break in week 42
Art Around the World Grab your passport & sense of adventure! We’re going on an unforgettable journey around the world to make amazing art inspired by different cultures, art forms, and fascinating landscapes. All the while, we learn and practice English in a warm, friendly and confidence-building environment. Both English learners & native speakers are warmly welcome!
Using inspiring cultural objects, books and even music, we learn about topics like Australian Aboriginal dot painting and Mexican artist Frida Kahlo’s love for exotic animals. We paint, draw, and build with quality art materials and try out fun techniques and tools. This class is kept small & cozy to ensure a personalized and specially curated experience–each child gets plenty of attention. Kids help plan our future travels by suggesting destinations they are curious about exploring. Finnish is used as necessary. Let’s see where in the world our artful trip takes us!
Age: 7–10 year olds
Fall Term: 19.8.-9.12.2026 Wednesdays 17:30-19:00 16 times, break in week 42 Spring Term: 13.1.-19.5.2027 Wednesdays 17:30-19:00 18 times, break in week 8
Amazing Animal Art Are you ready for an animal adventure? We’ll splash through rivers and trek deep into jungles to make animals like silly panda bears, tropical birds, and even our cute household pets. All the while, we learn and practice English in a warm, friendly and confidence-building environment. Both English learners & native speakers are warmly welcome.
We’ll learn about animals in fun ways like looking at photos, reading short stories, or playing a quick game. Then we dive into our creativity to draw, paint and build amazing animal artwork using a variety of quality materials and techniques. This class is kept small and cozy to ensure a personalized and specially curated experience. Each child gets plenty of attention, and we’ll even create specially tailored lessons based on the little artists’ favorite animals! Finnish is used as necessary. If your child loves animals, art and having lots of fun, this class is a perfect match!
Age: 5–7 year olds
Fall Term: 21.8.-4.12.2026 Fridays 16:15-17:45 14 times, break in week 42 no classes at Annantalo 9.10.2026 or 16.10.2026 (lesson location TBD)
Spring Term: 15.1.-21.5.2027 Fridays 16:15-17:45 16 times, break in week 8 no classes at Annantalo 26.3.2026 or 30.4.2026 (lesson location TBD)

A note about our fees: Seed Art Studio is a private, independent small business. Our fees reflect a commitment to high-grade materials, small class sizes for personalized mentorship, and a rich curriculum designed to inspire and encourage confidence. We don't just teach kids to create; our vision is to cultivate a lifelong love of learning, passion for creativity and sense of wonder and curiosity by offering children authentic, nurturing and engaging art and language experiences from an early age. Registration information and Cancellation policy (for classes at Annantalo) Please note that registering is binding for the full Fall term for Color Lab: Wild Nordic Inks and for both Fall and Spring terms for Art Around the World and Amazing Animal Art.
Full term payment is due within 24 hours of registration. Because of limited capacity, we do not offer makeups or refunds for missed classes, even if you know you will miss ahead of time.
Spring term invoices will be sent towards the end of the fall term.
If necessary, cancellation of registration must be done by email. Cancellations made five (5) weeks before the term starts may receive a full refund. If we receive a cancellation notice less than five weeks before the beginning of the term (fall/spring), 50% of the term fee will be invoiced. If we receive the cancellation one week before the term has started or anytime during the term, 100% of the term fee will be invoiced (ie no refund for missed lessons). In case of serious illness (with a note from a medical doctor), we may negotiate the fee.
In the case that the course is cancelled due to low numbers of participants, the term fee will be refunded.
Waiting list In case the course you wish to register for is full, please sign up for the waiting list. We will reach out as soon as possible if a spot opens up. Applicants will be notified in the order they have signed up.
